Decadent & Delicious

LAST CALL – ONLY 10 CASES LEFT
We are SOOOOOOOO happy to have this amazing dessert wine back in the tasting room. When we made the first Il Tesoro last year, it was a bit different so we weren’t sure of the reception. We only made about 60 cases and estimated that it would last us for about a year. Mrs. Vino loved this wine, but, frankly, it just wasn’t Mr. Vino’s cup-of-tea. When we first brought it into the tasting room, we were delighted with the response. People just love the tart cherry-berry flavors at the front – just like a mouthfull of fresh raspberries warmed by the sun. And the finish! The finish is all dark, rich chocolate. We ended up selling about a case a day of this wine and our 12 month supply lasted 4 months.
We are older and wiser now, so we made a bit more Tesoro this time. And we believe that practice makes perfect and this vintage is even better than the previous one. Il Tesoro II is perfec with dessert, poured over dessert or AS DESSERT. Mrs. Vino will take a tiny nip of this wine on those evening when she is craving something chocolate and decadent. No dessert required – just a little sip of Tesoro. We hope you will enjoy this all by itself – or get crazy! There is pretty much no dessert that you could pour this over, that doesn’t get better for the pouring thereof. A quick note – this wine actually pairs better with white chocolate than dark – in my opinion. The dark chocolate washes away the chocolatiness of the wine and the white chocolate enhances it.

EASIEST PARTY DESSERT IN THE WORLD
4 Martini Glasses
4 Brownie Bites
4 Scoops Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
8 T. Il Tesoro
Start with a martini glass – because everything is prettier in a martini glass. Put a brownie bite (I get mine from Costco) in the bottom of each martini glass. Put a scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream on top of the brownie bite. Drizzle 2T (more, less, whatever you want) over the ice cream. The port will melt over the top of the ice cream, down through the brownie bite and end up pooled in the bottom of the martini glass like a crumbly creamy shot. Top it with whipped cream, if you dare.
